This spider spun a web right over the gate to the backyard. Mike discovered her as he was coming in to mow. He said he had to enter very carefully. I am a real spider enthusiatist and had to take a picture of this beautiful creature! Check out the cool "Zipper" in the middle!

That is a fascinating creature ... from this distance of many hundreds of miles. I am the exact opposite of a spider enthusiast, even though I know they are largely harmless and very useful. They just give me the willies!
It DOES look like a zipper!!! Cool spider! Beth do you know the book "Be Nice to Spiders"? Great children's book on the usefulness of spiders!
